Dollywood

Since Heath was gone on the never-ending business trip over Mother’s Day weekend (and beyond), Bryce and I decided to head to the Smokies with my parents. We had a blast! Amazingly, there wasn’t bumper-to-bumper traffic and it wasn’t overly crowded at Dollywood. I guess everyone else had gone to see their mothers for Mother’s Day, rather than coming to Pigeon Forge! It made for a very nice trip and some much needed R & R.

Bryce absolutely loved Dollywood and was so excited by everything. His favorite rides are definitely the water ones! We rode the new ride “River Battle” and he loved squirting everyone (Dadaw pumped the water and Bryce aimed – quite the team!). He also found these mini cannons in the giant tree house and we barely pried him away from them! It was so much fun!


Back at the hotel, my little man tried out his new Spiderman ring and arm floaties in the pool. He felt like such a big boy swimming and kicking around by himself. On a random side note, I was thinking about letting him take swimming lessons this summer….so if any of you know where I can sign him up, let me know!
